Live From the UN: Pakistani UN Ambassador on Obama's Cairo Speech, Hafiz Saeed and More

I just sat down with the Pakistani Ambassador the United Nations, Abdullah Hussain Haroon.  I asked Amb. Haroon to respond to Obama's Cairo speech and to the news that Hafiz Saeed, the leader of a terrorist group affiliated with al Qaeda, was released from house arrest in Pakistan today.  We later discuss the humanitarian crisis in the Swat valley and the expansion of the Afghanistan conflict to Pakistan.

Note: The audio and video are slightly out of sync.  We are working to get this corrected. However, in the interest of expediency and the fact that the Ambassador is responding to breaking news we wanted to post this raw video as soon as possible.

Live from the UN: UNF's Gillian Sorenson

UNF's Gillian Sorenson talks to Mark Goldberg about the new US and UN administrations.

Live from the UN: Talk Radio Day 2009

Good morning all.   It's 9am, the coffee and donuts have already been reduced to a pile of crumbs and a near-empty Box O' Joe, and a half-dozen talk radio hosts are already working through their third hour. Yes, it's the fourth annual UN Talk Radio Day.  All day today, radio hosts from all parts of the political spectrum will be setting up shop in the UN lobby, interviewing high-ranking UN officials, and broadcasting back to their users.  You can find the full coverage here as well as links to the live shows.

The formidable Mark Goldberg will be interviewing UN officials as well and will be publishing them here as well as on Bloggingheads.tv.
