The UK broadcaster Channel 4 has been on the forefront of exposing the brutality that accompanied the end of Sri Lanka’s civil war in 2009. Channel 4 News has previously broadcast footage of naked, bound and unarmed men being summarily executed by Sri Lankan soldiers. They also produced a stunning documentary “Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields,” which uncovered horrific footage of war crimes.
Today, Channel 4 News comes out with another huge story: an officer comes forward to accuse top ranking government officials of ordering the summary execution of surrendering Tamil Tigers and civilians. It is widely known that these killings took place.
