Not on A-1: Fighting Malnutrition in Somalia

Two years ago, Somalia experienced a famine–the first famine of the 21st century. Since then, the situation has stabilized dramatically. Politics in Mogadishu is as stable as it has been in 20 years, and the security situation is much improved.

Still, malnutrition is a serious concern in much of the country. This is an issue that can have lasting society-wide affects; if children are malnourished at a young age, the consequences can last a lifetime.  This video from Unicef offers some key insights into how the international community and local partners are taking on this problem.
