The World Health Assembly kicks off this week in Geneva. This is the annual gathering of member states of the World Health Organization in which key decisions about the budget, direction and priorities of the WHO are set for the year.

It’s a big deal in global health circles, and the decisions made at the World Health Assembly have profound implications for the health, safety and well being of millions of people around the world.

Typically, the WHA is a fairly run-of-the-mill UN meeting with speeches, side events, votes and negotiations held over the week.  This year, however, there’s something different in store. The United Nations Foundation and WHO are teaming up for a weeklong series of conversations that brings some of the issues being discussed in Geneva to small screens around the world.

World Health+Social Good is a weeklong series of conversations held on the sidelines of the WHA. The lineup of speakers includes a who’s who of global health super stars.

The conversations last for one hour everyday, starting at 16.00-17.00 Geneva time (10:00-11:00am EST) with experts discussing some of the most pressing health issues on the planet. You can view the live stream below and you can participate directly in the conversation with the hashtag #WHA67 #SocialGood. Be sure to visit Plus Social Good every morning for the daily lineup.
