Let Slip the Dogs of Data Matthew Cordell April 22, 2010 Stat-heads perk up. The World Bank just released its 2010 World Development Indicators in a format that will surely please. Or, rather, they released it in any format you please. For instance, in honor of Earth Day, you might want to check out CO2 emissions in pure kilotons per country. Table or map? Map? Ok. Or maybe you want to get a little more esoteric. Marine protected areas by percentage of total surface area? No problem. The site also organizes data by topic and country, if you want to check out how the Maldives have been doing, for instance. You can also just click the “Download Data” button and make your own chart, but, for Pete’s sake, be original (and send it to us).
