On the interactive version of the heat map, when you scroll over each country you see the number of security incidents in which aid workers were victimized in some way. By far, the three most dangerous places in the world for aid workers are Afghanistan, Somalia and Sudan. Here is the summary table of major security incidents involving aid workers.
