Warfare is disruptive. The economist Paul Collier likes to call it “development in reverse.” And one of the way that war erases hard fought social and economic development gains is by interrupting children’s schooling.

This video from UNICEF shows the steps that are being taking to minimize the intellectual harm done to children by setting up schools at a refugee camp in Mauritania.
