What to do with coups

The African Union is for condemning them universally.

The (non-African members of the) UN Security Council is all for condemning them, but more on a case-by-case basis.

Togo thinks, why not include all of the accoutrements of an attempted coup — AK’s, grenades, etc. — in a nifty little display? Better than heads on stakes, I suppose…

And those folks in Guinea and Mauritania who actually carried out coups…well, they’re unsurprisingly in favor of the concept.
